This Privacy Policy explains how PDFlingo processes information for accounts, document translation, bilingual reading, exports, subscriptions, and support.
Depending on the features you use, PDFlingo processes your email address or Apple sign-in identifier, account and session records, selected documents, filenames, extracted text, page images, translations, target languages, page and task status, usage totals, subscription identifiers and status, error and security records, and messages you choose to send to support.
We use this information to authenticate you, process and display documents, produce translations and exports, enforce allowances, verify subscriptions, keep the service secure, troubleshoot failures, maintain backups, and respond to support and privacy requests.
Selected documents are uploaded to servers in the United States. Text and page images needed for recognition or translation are processed by Google Gemini; OpenAI may process the content if the configured primary processing path fails. The app asks for confirmation before each upload batch, and cancelling that confirmation prevents the batch from uploading. Closing the app does not stop work that has already started in the cloud.
Apple provides Sign in with Apple and in-app purchase services. Apple handles payment details; PDFlingo does not receive your full payment-card number. Mailgun sends account emails. Cloudflare provides domain and network services. AWS provides server infrastructure. Each provider may process information under its own terms and privacy documentation.
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, troubleshoot and restore the service, handle support, and meet legal or accounting obligations. Deleting a document removes it from your library and stops new processing, while related records may remain in backups or operational records for the time needed for those purposes. Deleting an account immediately revokes access and starts permanent removal of personal documents, OCR text, translations, profile, login credentials and associated analytics. Background deletion normally completes within 24 hours; completion is confirmed by email to the account address, held encrypted until that message is sent. If confirmation has not arrived, contact support. Apple billing continues until you cancel in Apple settings. Anonymous transaction ownership and status records remain to prevent reassignment to a different account. Routine backups rotate within 30 days; restricted historical recovery copies require separate cleanup. Restored data must respect deletion requests.
To request access, correction, or deletion, email [email protected]. We may verify the request using only information necessary to protect the account. Do not include a password or sign-in code.
We use access controls, signed account checks, and encrypted transport appropriate to the service. No system can be guaranteed completely secure. Processing and support may occur outside your country, including in the United States.
PDFlingo is not directed to children. If you believe a child provided personal information in a way that violates applicable law, contact us at [email protected].
